Golden Guitar nominations close this weekend

The Country Music Association of Australia is currently welcoming all nominations for the 46th
Toyota Country Music Awards of Australia, but remind artists they only have until 5pm Sunday to get their
entries in.

The CMAA has received more than 300 nominations so far, with Single of the Year and New Talent of
the Year having the greatest number of nominations so far. In the three album categories, the
Traditional Country Music Album of the Year and Alt-Country Album of the Year lead the pack.

“It is exciting to see so many entries coming in for the 46 th awards,” CMAA vice-chair Roger Corbett
said. “Nominations are pouring in this week as we head towards the close of nominations on
Sunday.”

In 2017 the industry experienced a 20 per cent growth in the number of entries for the 46th Toyota Country Music Awards, and the CMAA expects that number to grow this year as more artists vie for a coveted Golden Guitar.

“Increasing numbers of entries are a strong indication of growth in the Australian country music industry, which we always welcome,” Mr Corbett said.

Nominations will close at 5pm, Sunday, October 1. ENTER THE AWARDS HERE

Finalists will be announced in November and then the winners at the 46th Toyota Country Music Awards of Australia held at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre on January 27.
