Country music favourite, Troy Cassar-Daley has taken home an impressive four Golden Guitars from his seven nominations at tonight’s 2013 Country Music Awards of Australia.

Troy proved that he is a hands down favourite with Australian audiences, taking out ‘Male Artist Of The Year’, the prestigious ‘Album of the Year’ award for his album Home, ‘Single of the Year’ for Country Is and ‘APRA Song of the Year’ for the title track from the album, Home.

This year's Country Music Awards of Australia (Golden Guitars) will host two special tributes saluting Australian pioneer country music artists.

The first will be a Lifetime Achievement Golden Guitar to be awarded to "Tangletongue" Geoff Mack who celebrated his 90th birthday on December 20.

Geoff, the writer of the Australian classic I've Been Everywhere and a veteran of outback tent shows and the Tivoli circuit, is already honoured on the Australian Country Music Roll of Renown.

He began performing professionally in 1944, touring with the late Slim Dusty from the late 1970s and still attends the Tamworth Country Music Festival every year with Tabby, his wife of 59 years.

The CMAA Winners compilation returns for another year featuring the very best of Australian country music. The album comprises of a CD and DVD of the nominees for the 41st CMAA Awards (to be awarded on Australia Day, 26th January 2013 in Tamworth).

The Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) compilation returns for another year, showcasing finalists from the 41st annual Country Music Awards; the very best of Australian country music.

Set for release on January 11, 2013, the ‘CMAA: The Winners 2013’ compilation will comprise both CD and DVD formats, featuring established local artists John Williamson, Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson, Adam Brand and Troy Cassar-Daley alongside The McClymonts, and breaking acts like Chelsea Basham, Harmony James and many more, representing a broad stylistic range. Included on the 18-track DVD are video clips to all songs listed.
