As Australia’s longest running award ceremony and the pinnacle event of the Jayco Tamworth Country Music Festival, the Jayco CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia always mark the biggest night in the Australian country music year.

With next year signifying the 40th anniversary of the Awards, Saturday 28 January 2012 is set to be an historic evening as the biggest names in the industry step out to celebrate the milestone.

“In 2012, the Country Music Association of Australia will look to its roots and focus on creating a high quality and professional live production that reflects what our artists and our industry has to offer,” said Joan Douglas, Chair of the CMAA.

The CMAA Awards Advisory Committee met in September and put forward a number of suggestions for changes to the awards that were subsequently put to the professional membership for a vote.

Votes have now been counted and all of the suggestions have been carried.

Changes will be implemented for the first time in the 2013 awards as outlined below.
