Entries in the 53rd Country Music Awards of Australia will commence at 9am Wednesday 28th August 2024
and closes at 5pm on Tuesday 1st October 2024.

Important Notes
Note 1: Please note that the Alt Country Album of the Year category will now be called the Alt Country/Americana Album of the Year. We have also updated the category description to better align with current industry standards.
Note 2: Please ensure that you very carefully read the criteria description for every category you are entering: we have updated the wording on some categories to make the criteria clearer.
Note 3: NEW - commencing this year, we will not require a biography to be attached to your entry. INSTEAD, you will be required to provide your (maximum 250 word) biography to be input into a text field (you can either type straight into the field, or you can cut and paste). As usual, biographies will also be required for songwriters, producers, video directors etc.
Note 4: 2025 Entry Fees:
- First Category Entered: $70 + gst
- Every category entered thereafter: $20 + gst per category
Handy Hints and Tips for Entering
Tip 3: Have your files ready for upload in the following formats:
- Audio - mp3, m4a, wav, wma
- Video - URL required - see instructions
- Head Shot Photo - High resolution JPEG or PDF
- Album Art (album covers only) - JPEG or PDF
- See your specific categories for all upload requirements
Tip 4: If you're entering in the following categories, we also require the following:
- Vocal Collaboration: Head shot photo of ALL collaborators (it may be one photo, or individual) and CMAA membership details where required
- All Album categories: Head shot photo and bio of your producer/s
- Video Clip of the Year: Head shot photo and bio of your video director/s
- Bush Ballad of the Year and Heritage Song of the Year: Head shot photo and bio of ALL songwriters if different to the performing artist
- Song of the Year: Head shot photo and bio of ALL songwriters, along with CMAA membership details of songwriters where required.
Tip 5: Don't leave it until the last minute! Make sure your song is officially commercially released (see the handbook) well before the 30th September and it appears on your chosen DSP prior to that date!
